About QR Codes
QR (Quick Response) codes are those black and white squares you scan with your phone. They're basically fancy barcodes that can store way more than a product SKU.
What you can put in them:
- → Website URLs - The most common use (no one wants to type a long link)
- → WiFi credentials - Your guests can connect without asking for the password 47 times
- → Contact info (vCard) - Save a contact without typing everything manually
- → Email addresses & phone numbers - One tap and you're ready to send
- → Payment info - For when you're too lazy to split the bill properly
Error Correction
Higher error correction levels mean the QR code can still be read even if it's partially damaged, scratched, or someone spilled coffee on it.
The trade-off: More error correction = bigger, denser QR code.
Pick your poison:
- → Low (L): 7% damage tolerance - Small code, fragile
- → Medium (M): 15% damage tolerance - Balanced
- → Quartile (Q): 25% damage tolerance - Safer choice
- → High (H): 30% damage tolerance - Survives almost anything, but chonky
